Kerala is a south Indian state of India located in the Malabar coast. It is known for its lush greenery, beautiful beaches and serene backwaters. The state has a tropical climate with heavy monsoon rains that last from June to September. The rest of the year is relatively dry and pleasant. Kerala has a diverse landscape that ranges from the Western Ghats mountain range to the backwaters and beaches along the Arabian Sea. Kerala is one of the most socially progressive states in India, with high levels of literacy, healthcare, and human development.
